Greetings to fans, press and other readers. Since our press releases have come a bit less frequently, we might offer less breaking news. Still, Riste Nikolovskis victory at Monte Rosa is just as sweet 20 days after he took home the jersey. Keep reading for a Monte Rosa review, a Race of the Minutemen preview, and more!

---RACE NEWS---
All fans of Macedonian cycling should already have celebrated the big one: Riste Nikolovski won the 44th edition of the Monte Rosa Tour. Riste was the first Macedonian to win any jersey, grabbing the YC of Odyssey of the Oryx in S52. Last season, he became the first Macedonian to win a tour when he won Monte Rosa #43. During that edition tour, he also became the first Macedonian WT winner at Sapporo - Mount Asahi (WT). Guess what? He just won both the tour and the WT race once more.
During Monte Rosa, Riste finished 7th in the TT, followed by 3 stage podium spots (2x 2d, 1x third). He did not win a stage this time around, but the overall victory more than makes up for this. We are immensely proud of him, hopefully Riste can do the unprecedented triple next season.
Apart from the Swiss tour, Riste has also found his winning ways during one day races. He took victories at Thandiani Escalade and Slopes of Mount Nyangani, and podium places at the Tour of the Sri Lankan Highlands, San Fernando and Ascent of the Ancients.
Meanwhile, Jordan Spirkoski has been preparing for the Race of the Minutemen with a 6th place in our home race Bitola - Kavadartsi. He will be joined by Riste Nikolovski, who will work for the youngster in exchange for his support in Switzerland. Our default tour line-up consisting of Jovan Georgievski, Eftim Nastevski and Dragi Stavrevski will be present as well, and the final spot is reserved for Gjorgji Najdoski, who will ride a tour for the first time. Jordan will aim for a top-9 in GC and take a crack at winning the YC. He came 3d in the YC of last year’s Monte Rosa, so he has some experience. Let’s see what he can achieve with a full support squad!
---RIDER NEWS---
Gjorgji Najdoski, Leco Vasilevski and Stojance Meglenski are all close to finishing their training. Gjorgji seems to have some growth potential left, but won’t participate in dedicated training sessions anymore, since we think he will benefit most from race experience. Leco and Stojance have both finished their climber training programs, but will remain in the academy to improve other skills. Leco will soon try to improve on the flats, Stojance could become a solid climbing time trialist.
Perica Gancev and Goce Bisevac have joined the academy as well, but their skillset does not match the climbing team Velosipedska have become. We are happy to announce, however, that Perica will join Peak Cycling. If his incredible sprint potential can be utilized, he could find a great sprint train in that team to carry him to victory.
Goce has also found an amazing place to develop. The sprint talent will join the only other professional Macedonian team: Alpinisti na Ohrid. We are never happy to see our own riders leave, but our sister team’s headquarters are right around the corner. We wish both teams and both riders the best of luck in the future.
A few milestones to round up this newsletter:
Riste Nikolovski has reached 32 results from the team. We wanted to celebrate his 25th result, but they just kept coming! In comparison, the rider with the most results for us after Riste is our old friend Metodija Aksentiev (10 results), who’s been gone for 2 seasons.
Jovan Georgievski became the 3d rider to amass 100 points for Velosipedska. In the absence of our team leaders, he’s been slowly getting points here and there. Keep it up, Jovan ;)
Blagojce Mojsov has become the 2d rider to reach 50k in income for our team in activities outside of cycling. Only Slobodan Meglenski (71k) has been a more profitable ambassador so far.
Well, that was it for today. Hopefully we can see many fans cheering Jordan on in the USA next week.
Kind regards and thanks for reading,
